Living our faith.     Loving our neighbor.     Educating our children.     Christ is the reason for our school.
St. Mary's School is located in the heart of Darke County, Ohio.  The school was established in 1888 and has proudly been educating the children of the city of Greenville and the surrounding area for the past 120 years.  Today dedicated lay teachers continue the educational tradition that the Sisters of Charity (Cincinnati) began so long ago.  St. Mary's School offers a Pre-School through 8th grade education.

We endeavor to educate and work with the whole child so he/she develops not just intellectually, but socially, spiritually, morally, and physically.  We also recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and the teachers work closely with them so together they all help the child have a successful school experience.

After viewing the information we have provided on our website, it is our hope that you will take the next step toward enrolling your child at St. Mary's School.

MISSION STATEMENT

With the support of the Parish and parents, the students and faculty of St. Mary’s School are a living community of faith by proclaiming the Gospel, serving others, and praising God; educating our children in knowledge and values with high academic and behavioral standards; loving our neighbor in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.

VISION STATEMENT

We envision all children having the opportunity to live their faith in an educational environment.

We envision all children having the right to an education that enables them to reach their full potential as a person.

We envision that, as a Catholic school, we are called to be a visible presence in the entire community involving the church, Parish, and neighborhood community.

We envision offering a quality education that includes academics, spiritual, physical and social development, thereby meeting the needs of the whole child.

We envision being the leader in recognizing that it is the right of every child to have an education regardless of race, religious, or economic background.

We see all children as a gift from God, deserving of love, respect, and guidance so they reach their individual goals, the highest possible growth, and recognition of their vocation in life.
